Online Banking Domain Name Change Coming April 16

Man standing holding a cup of coffee and looking at his laptop

The domain name for EECU's Online Access Home Banking will change on Thursday, April 16. If you are enrolled in online banking, please take a moment to read the information below and the steps you can take now to prepare for the change.

What is changing?

On Thursday, April 16, the domain name for online banking will be updated from myeecu.org to onlinebanking.myeecu.org. This change will not impact our website address, which will continue as myEECU.org. The domain name change applies strictly to online banking.

When you log in after the change you’ll notice a slight difference in the URL in your web browser address bar:

Current online banking domain: myeecu.org/dbank/live/app/home

Updated online banking domain: onlinebanking.myeecu.org/dbank/live/app/home

After the domain name change, you’ll see the updated URL when you log into online banking, as shown in the preview below.

When is the change happening?

The domain name will be updated on Thursday, April 16.

How will this change affect me?

If you are enrolled in online banking, the first time you log in to online banking on each device or browser after the domain name is updated, you will be prompted to verify your identity through multi-factor authentication (MFA) by entering a code sent to your phone or email, similar to when you log in from an unrecognized device.

What do I need to do now to prepare for the change?

We strongly recommend confirming that your phone number and/or email address on file for MFA is up to date to ensure you receive your verification code when you first log in after the change. To verify your security contact information, log in to online banking, select My Settings, and navigate to Login & Security. Review the security options listed for your account and update as needed.

Will I still be able to log in to online banking from the EECU website, myEECU.org, after the domain name change?

Yes. The domain name change applies to online banking, which is separate from our website.

Will I use my existing username and password to log in after the change?

Yes, you will log in the same way you do today with your existing credentials.

Will I need to confirm my identity through MFA if I use the EECU Mobile App and not a browser to access my account?

Yes, all online banking users will be prompted to verify their identity through MFA the first time they log in to online banking on each device or browser after the change is completed. If you log in through the Mobile App, a code will be sent to you in a text message and you will reply to message with the code provided. If you log in through a web browser, the code will be sent by phone or email and you will enter it on the Verify Information screen.

Will the domain name change affect connections to Quicken or QuickBooks?

Once the domain name change is live, Intuit will update their system with the new online banking URL. Quicken and QuickBooks users will need to disconnect and then reconnect their EECU account within Quicken to establish a new connection. It may take additional time for Intuit to update their system with the new domain, so if connection is not established on the first attempt please try again later.
